About us

The city named after its ancient ruler Unvant Singh, is situated near Ganga river and is noted for its political as well as literary dignitaries. To enhance the technical education of this area, it was visualized that apart from the existing polytechnic at Dahi Chauki, another polytechnic is needed at Deeh Sadar, Lalaukhera, Unnao and thus Government Polytechnic ,Deeh Sadar, Unnao was established in 2014, situated on Unnao-Rae Bareilly road . Initially it ran at GP Hardoi, when the building construction was completed in 2016, the Institute shifted in its newly built building at Deeh in July 2016. Since then it is working for upliftment of youth by imparting technical skills as well as developing their personality so as to groom them as efficient technician as well as good citizen.

Building- The Institute comprises of academic building, Workshop, 60 seated hostel and staff residences with a plenty of plantation surrounding it.

Facilities- Lab practices, Industry Institute Interaction, Guest Lectures by Industry personals, sports, extracurricular activities like Swachachta abhiyan, Vriksharopan, Cultural activities are regular part of curriculum.

ACADEMICS

All the 3 years Engg. Diploma Program run under Semester System Pattern.

Class Timing
10 A.M. to 5.00 P.M. (Daily Excluding Sunday & Other Holidays.)

Teaching Method
Teaching methodology includes class room teaching, Practical Lab Sessions, Field Exposure, Industrial Tour, Seminar, Project Work & Expert Lecture.

Sessional Exams & Assignments
Three Sessional Exams Each Semester & Five Assignments are given to students to test & develop skill of subject.

Attendance Requirement
80% attendance is must in all subjects (Attendance Through Biometric System).

Final Exams
Final Exams are conducted by board of Technical Education U.P. Lucknow according to Semester System generally in month of December & May.

Addmission

Admission are offered through an Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) that is conducted by Joint Entrance Examination Council, Lucknow. Admission forms are available in all polytechnics typically from 15th December to 15th January every year. Joint Entrance Exam is normally conducted on last Sunday of April. Student Fee Details

Grievance/Complaint’ - A “Grievance/Complaint” is defined as any communication that expresses dissatisfaction about an action or lack of action, about the standard of service/deficiency of service of an institute and the complainant asks for remedial action.
Grievance Redress - Grievance Redress Mechanism is part and parcel of the machinery of any administration. No administration can claim to be accountable, responsive and user-friendly unless it has established an efficient and effective grievance redress mechanism.
